Crafted from genuine wool fleece on a synthetic backing, this piece fits snugly between the cheeks of the noseband. Its design helps partially limit the horse’s vision, encouraging focus on what’s ahead rather than distractions on the ground, like shadows. It is also beneficial for horses that raise their heads too high to evade the bit. The shadow roll aims to correct this by requiring the horse to lower its head in order to see what’s in front of them, such as jumps. When the horse’s head is raised, the shadow roll obstructs their vision.
